Level Contributor 18 posts 8 reviews 7 helpful votes Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago Hi, We are travelling to Kenya for the first time in mid August and have almost finalised our itinerary. On our way from Sweetwaters to Masai, we need to stop for a day at Nakuru or Naivasha. Can past travellers please help us in deciding which of these two places would be more appropriate. From what I read Lake Nakuru has large number of animals + Flamingos. However, some articles and reviews pointed out that the lake can be flooded. If the park is flooded then I guess Naivasha would be more appropriate. Can someone please provide information on these two lakes and current state of the lakes. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago Lake Nakuru is much more interesting, though it doesn't have the million of flamingoes it used to have due to the rising water levels, it does however have white rhinos, tree climbing lions, leopards, hyenas, Rothschild giraffes, water birds, amazing scenery from baboon cliff and alot of herbivores. Level Contributor 7,519 posts 45 reviews 16 helpful votes 2. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago I would opt for staying at Naivasha. Lake Nakuru has lost its charm over the years due to lake pollution. Furthermore, flamingos have flown to Bogoria, their new habitat. Level Contributor 70 posts 31 reviews 46 helpful votes 3. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago Hi Just came back from Kenya.. Beautiful green country.. All the best.. We went on a family vacation.. Stayed at both the places..As for choice between Nakuru and naivasha they both are different.. Are you in a family or alone or friends?? Naivasha is a relaxed place depends on how you take.. Want a break between game drives then ok but if a die hard Safari fan then don't..with no game drive but Hella gate which is more walking.. It has a lake you can take boat rides on the lake see hippos in Lake.. Pelican eagle and many birds Nakuru is not flooded.. In simple words the water as compared has more volume and fresh water.. Fresh water led to drastic fall in flamingos as they live on algae salty water.. no ways it is flooded as in the places to stay..It has a park where you can do game drive but nothing beats the game drive that is available in Masai.. Feel free to ask further ...... Need to know iof your interests then can explain further.. Do enjoy your stay Level Contributor 65 posts 1 review 1 helpful vote 4. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago I would go for Lake Naivasha. This is a place you can relax at experience the natural heated swimming pool. Quite an experience you won't get it anywhere else. Lake Nakuru only advantage is the Rhinos. Level Contributor 18 posts 8 reviews 7 helpful votes 5. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago Thank you for your responses and advice. My husband and I are travelling for the first time to Kenya. We are not looking at relaxed trip as such and are interested in seeing wildlife in their natural habitats more the better. Also there is a slight glitch in our plan. We are not getting booking at Sweetwaters in August. We were told that this is amongst the best experiences to look for. Therefore, we are postponing our trip to first week of October. Would you know if sightings/safaris in October would be good too or would we miss out a lot by being too choosy about a hotel booking? Level Contributor 360 posts 6 reviews 6 helpful votes 6. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago Lake Nakuru is more of wild that is game viewing, birds and many more while in Naivasha its only boat riding and even swimming at the hotels or nature guided walks. if you are die hard and you much interested in the wild animals in their original habitats and i would recommend you guys to go to Naivasha. Sweeter water is a very wonderful place and mostly the hotels with exellent services and in good location are always fully booked during the high season that is July - August. but even in October, its still a nice time for visiting the places and you will still enjoy. All the best in your planning Level Contributor 70 posts 31 reviews 46 helpful votes 7. Re Lake Nakuru vs Lake Naivasha 3 years ago You need to be firm on your itinerary.. In my opinion sweet waters is good but not worth that you postpone your whole trip.. Spend that extra night in Masai I suggest Level Contributor 7,519 posts 45 reviews 16 helpful votes 8. With regular use, the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask can help to refine the skin’s texture, minimize the appearance of pores, and leave the skin looking clear and radiant. Below you can see my detailed Innisfree jeju volcanic clay mask review. 1. Purpose The Innisfree volcanic mask has quite a few purposes but the main ones are Absorb sebum and impurities Provides tons of minerals to the skin which brighten and clarify the skin tone. It also creates a smooth skin texture. It treats blemishes. 2. Ingredients The most important ingredient of the clay mask is the volcanic ash or the Jeju volcanic cluster. This is a remarkable ingredient which This is a remarkable natural ingredient that forms when lava from a volcano eruption solidifies on Jeju Island. It is excellent for absorbing sebum and dirt. The Innisfree volcanic clay mask is free from mineral oils, animal-originated ingredients, artificial fragrances, and imidazolidinyl urea. Other Ingredients Water, Butylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Silica, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Trehalose, Volcanic Ash Jeju volcanic cluster, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Bentonite, Zinc Oxide CI 77947, Polysorbate 60, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Theobroma Cacao Cocoa Extract, Kaolin, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, PVP, Dextrin, PEG-100 Stearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Iron Oxide CI 7741 3. Texture & Smell The texture of the mask is quite soft and feels a bit like a mousse. It is very easy to spread and dries in just a couple of minutes. It doesn’t have a strong smell but for me it smells a bit like makgeolli Korean rice wine 4. Price & Where To Buy The price of this product depends on where you are buying this and where you are located. If you are visiting Korea you can buy this product in any Innisfree shop for 12 000 krw. The online price for people living abroad is quite similar. Click here for more info and prices at Amazon US. Note The Innisfree volcanic mask is currently not available on sites like iHerb and YesStyle. 5. Personal Review I kinda like this product, especially because of the texture of the clay mouse. It is really easy to spread and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the skin. I could see instant results as my pores really opened up but then I had to remove the black heads manually. The Innisfree clay mask doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin. After using the mask my skin also feels much softer. It’s a bit messy to apply or remove but I feel like that with every kind of sheet mask or wash-off mask. Make sure you have a mirror and towel ready when applying the mask. I’m not a big fan of the packaging. The box is just made out of simple brown cardboard which is a bit boring. The ink used to print on the box is soy ink and that is kinda cool. The container is made of thin plastic. It looks quite small but you only use a tiny bit each time you apply the mask. How To Use Innisfree Clay Mask? Before using this product wash your face with water or a toner. Use your fingers or a spatula to apply the product on your face. Spread it out gently and avoid using the product in your eyes or on your lips trust me, you don’t want to have it your mouth, tastes like mud. After 15 minutes wash your face and rinse off the mask with warmish water.
